Introduction

In the fast-changing world of digital banking, BRImo is always looking for new ways to improve user experience. Our latest project, redesigning the investment dashboard, is a key step in our mission to provide an intuitive and empowering platform for users to manage their investments. This story highlights how our team, through collaboration and user-focused design principles, transformed the investment dashboard into a seamless and engaging experience for every BRImo user.

Objective

The primary goal was clear: to redesign the BRImo investment dashboard in a way that simplifies the investment process, encourages user engagement, and promotes financial literacy. With digital banking becoming increasingly competitive, it was crucial that this redesign not only meets but exceeds the expectations of our users, providing them with a tool that is both powerful and easy to navigate.

My Role

As a pivotal member of the design team, my responsibilities spanned from conducting comprehensive competitor benchmarking, facilitating discussions with the product owner, to leading the creation of prototypes and overseeing usability testing. My role was to ensure that every design decision was data-driven, user-focused, and aligned with our core objectives.

Challenges

The journey was not without its challenges. First and foremost was understanding the diverse needs and financial literacy levels of our users. Additionally, distilling complex investment data into a simple, user-friendly interface posed a significant design challenge. We also faced the task of ensuring the dashboard stood out among competitors, offering unique value propositions.

Approach

Our approach was methodical and user-centered. We initiated the project with an in-depth competitor benchmarking analysis, meticulously documenting our findings to understand the market landscape and identify opportunities for innovation. This documentation included screenshots, feature comparisons, and user flow analyses, which served as a critical foundation for our design strategy.

Following benchmarking, extensive discussions with the product owner helped align our design vision with business goals and user needs. These discussions were instrumental in setting the direction for our prototype designs.
